By accessing or using the application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the App.
2. Description of Service
The App allows users to discover restaurants and submit structured, metric-based ratings (e.g., taste, service). The App does not support free-form written reviews.
Certain features of the App may rely on your device’s location to display relevant nearby restaurants.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.
4. User Accounts
Users must create an account using an email, username, and password to submit ratings.
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- All activity under your account
5. User Content (Structured Ratings)
Users submit ratings using predefined metrics ("User Content"). No written reviews are permitted.
By submitting ratings, you grant the App a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:
- Store
- Display
- Aggregate
- Analyze
- Use for ranking and ordering restaurants
You agree not to:
- Manipulate ratings (e.g., coordinated or fraudulent activity)
- Create multiple accounts to influence rankings
- Submit ratings that do not reflect genuine experiences
6. Ranking and Display of Restaurants
Restaurants are displayed and ranked based on aggregated user-submitted metrics (such as taste and service).
The App:
- Does not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or fairness of rankings
- May use proprietary methods to calculate rankings
- May change ranking methodologies at any time without notice
7. Content Moderation
We reserve the right to:
- Remove ratings
- Adjust or exclude suspicious activity
- Suspend or terminate accounts engaging in manipulation or abuse
8. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the App for unlawful purposes
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access
- Interfere with system integrity
- Use bots, scripts, or automation to submit ratings
9. Intellectual Property
All App content (excluding User Content) is owned by the company.
Aggregated data, rankings, and analytics derived from User Content are the property of the App.
10. Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
Specifically:
- Ratings reflect user opinions, not verified facts
- Restaurant rankings are algorithmically generated and may not reflect objective quality
- Location-based results may vary in accuracy depending on device signals
- We do not guarantee accuracy of any restaurant information
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:
- Errors in rankings or ratings
- Decisions made based on App content
- Inaccuracies in location-based results
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion, including for:
- Violations of these Terms
- Suspected manipulation of ratings
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Illinois.
